Have you started Tweeting yet?

I joined Twitter a while back, but I didn’t really “get” it until recently. I just got a new job (the PERFECT job, I think), that will use my multi talents. I’ll be doing business writing, Tweets, Facebook, blogging, and more!

Being the diligent new employee, I quickly did a crash course on Twitter this weekend, and boy! There’s a lot to learn!

What’s amazing is how involved Twitter can get. I’ve subscribed to a great blog about it (ProBlogger’s TwiTips), and I’ve started following some of the top Twitterers. There’s so much to learn and read, and it’s all shared by fellow Twitterers.

So have you joined Twitter yet? Follow me @crayonwriter and be sure to let me know in the comments below that you’ve started following me. Twitter will be my microblog, so enjoy and join in the conversation(s)!

I’ve been on Twitter for a while but I can’t see that’s it’s helped promote my blog at all. I will follow your experiences and see if I learn anything. Thanks!

I’m registered my twitter a/c (@triphow) just to make sure no one squats on it, but I don’t really use it. I cannot spend any more time on the internet than I already do.

I’ll check in on your new a/c from time to time, though. And congrats on the new job. :)

  4. I haven’t joined twitter yet, thought it was just like the “mini feed” part of facebook. Will def be looking into it more thoroughly to find out how in-depth it can be. Thanks!

My company registered our name for twitter but I don’t know how useful it will be really. It’s not like my company has all that interesting a stuff to twitter about (>.<) and for personal use it just seems like another place for spam even from people I know (that mean well), but I don’t need to see 90% of what my friends are doing right now.

In reference to Gordon’s comment, Twitter is a great marketing/PR tool. Its like having an instant press release.

  8. I followed you. I just recently started tweeting in a real way. I am enjoying it so far. I’ve also found found quite a few great writing articles through other people’s tweets.
