The rules of blogging
I’m going to break one of the long-standing “rules” of blogging. But it’s no problem, especially since the blogosphere is ever-changing.
One of the first things I learned was to never explain why you were away so long. Well, I’ve had some loyal readers who might actually want an explanation…at least, I’d want to know what happened if I were in your shoes.
When my blog was regularly updated, I had loads of time on my hands. But then I started working an 8-5 job (sometimes I worked 7 days a week), and I had to prioritize. As a single mother, when I got home at 5:30 or 6:00, my only priorty was spending quality time with my daughter. When she went to bed, it became wind down time and/or get all my household chores done before I crashed.
So there you have it! My first blogging rule disobeyed. Hope you didn’t mind too much.
Hopefully, with the help of that huge post-it note, I’ll find a way to get back to blogging. While you’re waiting, feel free to go back and read some earlier posts. I’ll be doing the same, hoping to get inspired once again.

LOL! I wonder if my lack of blogging is why I lost my pagerank. Oh well.
For me blogging is just a hobby, I never intend to give pressure my self doing this because its just my thing to do during my free time. If I have time I will read your posts.
Blogging wouldn’t be blogging if the blogger didn’t write their own rules.
The problem is the same as in my case too, I’m not able to update my blog daily and too much time is required with quality content. But since its my passion and way of earning I always make the time.
yeah you are right, you should not mentioned why there are no update in your blog because most do not care anyway, so why bother? you must only go on with what you want to write and that’s it. (www.kika.ca)
You just need some crack and everything will get done.
I wanted to start a blog of interesting things I find. Weather it be in magazines or online websites. Would there be copyright things going on if I just copied and pasted articles, also leaving a link, or saying i got it from this book or magazine? I don’t want to break any laws and get sued.

I learnt the hard way too, never pressure yourself to make a blog post or having to make a set amount of posts each week, the content will degrade as trying to think of new post topics to please your targets.
I find myself updating my blogs consistently for months, then life gets in the way and I have an unexpected break. Welcome back.

Who made that rule? I would definitely tell my readers why I was away (if that happened) because that could be some great topics for some posts. Life happens to us all and those posts are normally really popular
