Where’d you get that name?

Somewhere in the blogosphere I read a post about the origin of blog names.
I thought I’d share with you how I came up with Crayon Writer.
It was pretty difficult at first, since so many good domains are taken. But I knew I wanted to talk about writing in the title, and I knew that my being a mother was important too.
Even though it was difficult to come up with, the concept is actually pretty simple.
I’m a writer who’s the mother of a toddler. When I need to write something in a hurry, I can never find a pen that works. So what do I reach for? A crayon. They’re everywhere. If I stick my hand in the couch, I’m sure to find one quickly.
So there you go. I write with crayons because my toddler uses crayons. I’m a crayon writer. And proud of it. The only problem is that my daughter gets upset when I use her crayons. “That’s MY crayon!”
Sigh…. Maybe I should change the name to Imaginary Pen Writer (LOL!).

I really like your blog’s name. It is simple but conveys who you are and what the blog is about. I chose Maternal Spark in much the same manner. My blog is about the spark of creativity that comes along with motherhood (at least for me) so Ta Da! There it is

I think you should not change your blog name because it fits your style in blogging.
Unfortunately, I changed the names of my blogs to make them more attractive, as well as for SEO purposes. This is because my URL’s are so long (which was also their title before).
Now, I am enjoying them. Their titles describe the content of my blogs - Humane Blogging Tips and Happy Family Matters.

I think it is an interesting blog name. I couldn’t come up with a name for my blog..so I just did my first and last name.
I love the name, don’t change it!
Interesting about how you came to get the name too, my brother in law does the same thing (they have 2 kids, and never can find a pen or pencil!)
I had a feeling that was how you picked your name. I remember those crayon writing days!
I picked my name Here and Now 4Angel because my therapist was always saying to me,”Be here and now.” I have a hard time staying in the present:) The 4Angel is partly for my four sons who are my angels, and also my name.

Don’t change the name. You’ve built a brand, basically, and the name is amusing.

Yeah. I kinda like this name too. It has the kind charm to it =) Don’t change it. (Guess there’s many people here to convince you not to change already) =D
When I create sites I first look for SEO attributes. If i’m creating a blog with a funny name - I usually search expired domain records for short domains (like wy7.net, etc).
When i have a blog in the future, I’d like to call it, Keyboarder :). Sounds catchy doesnt it. Oh wait, I shouldn’t have told you that!
