Working and blogging

As you know, I just started a temporary full-time job a couple of weeks ago. Stay tuned for more on that. The temp job is over this week, so I’ll post a bit about the promotions I’ve done and how they work (generally).
Wow. I found out that when you’re used to being able to blog anytime, any place, it’s a huge adjustment to have full-time work that takes you away from your computer.
So here’s a quick question for you.
If you have a full-time job and you also have a frequently updated blog, how do you do it? Do you write all your posts for the week on the weekends? Do you carve out time during the week when you get home?

As for the blogging and job thing, if possible, carry a laptop and find a starbucks, or some place where they have wi-fi.

I run my own consulting agency and I’m also a busy parent. I write my posts for my blog on running a consulting businessin advance. In fact, when I went on mat leave recently, I had six months of posts in the queue.
I write blog entries during my lunch breaks or in the evenings. I’ve been trying to get myself ahead on at least the series I publish weekly and on a set of book reviews, but I’m not doing so well. It’s definitely a good idea to try and write even part of a post whenever you can snatch 10 minutes though.

I have a full-time job ,and I actually update some of my blogs at night right before I go to bed.It’s not that time consuming for me.
Blogging is like another full time job! Sometimes I wish i did it just full time!

Anyway, I have a full-time job until now and I have 2 blogs. How do I do it?
Simple, I am killing myself. After I arrive home from work, I immediately starting blogging for about 6 to 8 hrs which makes me sleep for about 5 hrs. only and I am doing that for 7 months.
If I have time, I write articles during lunch break and send them to my home email. We are not allowed to have Internet connection in the office.
Right now, I am blogging hard to make it full-time as soon as possible.

I have a FT job, and am a Gram, but ‘lil Moomette is over quite a bit. Desperately trying to retire here, as my blog posts indicate! Although new to blogging, I stay up until the wee hours of the morning working my ebiz(s). I carry a little notebook for “bloggy thoughts” and add to them whenever I can ~ that way I’m able to keep track of what I’d like to post. Nice blog ~ will be “dropping” in on you frequently~

I’ve also recently just started a new job, going to school, and run a blog.
Usually what I do is once my girlfriend is asleep I pull out the laptop from under the bed and write something. Lunch breaks work but sometimes you have to take advantage of not being in front of the computer all day.

First of all, congratulations for getting full time job.
I feel that you can get time to update your blog however, you have full time job. As you can do it after finished your job.
But, if you have full time job and your work place is very far from your home, then you may be not able to do it.
I’m not really sure how i would do this if I didn’t do it full time. there would be no where near enough hours in the day to get everything done. My other big problem would be training myself to be creative (for writing) at only certain times of the day. sometimes the mood or the topic just strikes me and off i go!
Well, right now I’m in school(only 1 week left thank goodness), have a full time job, just recently bought our own place, and am a husband and father. How I do it is simple… no sleep! If I get to sleep in till 7, I am happy. If I get to bed before 1 am, I am happy. But, what it all boils down to is your motivation…
I try to fit a post a day in and I don’t usually get on the computer till gone 22:00 after coming home from work, putting the kids to bed, having dinner and spending some time with the wife. Like othere who have replied, I get very little sleep doing this and with 2 kids.
I used to be a full time PPC affiliate but the credit crunch screwed that all up, so back to the grind for now.

I usually blog after the kids are tucked away at night…and when I can squeeze it in on the weekends. Just takes some schedule planning for sure!
