You are absolutely right what you have said .Writing a blog on daily basis is not an easy task and one also needs time to think over something before posting to his blog.
This could be only sorted out smoothly and on ones planned basis that is prepare a proper timetable for this.when to collect data on timely basis and to when post it up! this way search engines will also know the update time and even the person won’t get much frustrated.!

I am writing my life story and so there is a chronological sequence but I am still guided by an outline to which I stick to.

I guess I got lucky with the topic of my blog. I pretty much have things blocked out for nearly a year.

There is a way to do that and, in my case, it took a bit of research and a database organized just so.

I throw in things like quotes, interviews and so forth for interest.

I go by the seat of my pants as you put it. My posts are always on topic but I do like the idea of having certain days mapped out for specific post types.

I may look to have a mix of both.

Hi, I just found this blog and have found the information on planning ahead very useful ! I think sometimes we or rather I, run into “mental blocks” and I can just stare at the screen .. while time passes by.

I think that planning ahead is a great idea instead of just relying on the “sudden burst of ideas”.

I do a little bit of both. I plan my book reviews about two to three weeks in advance which helps a great deal since I’m doing a review each and every day. I also have weekly features like my participation in Thursday Thirteen, Booking Through Thursday and my run down of the top ten searches to my blog on Fridays. Then I have the give aways which happen four times a month and the monthly summery of all my book reviews.

Then whenever the mood strikes, I also throw in a personal post either about my family or my art work.
