Living to write another day

I just read an interesting post on Scott Wainner’s blog about longevity.

As a mother, and as the daughter of aging parents, mortality is definitely something that’s on my mind.

Scott’s post discusses aging as a disease that could be delayed just like any other disease (though not completely cured).

Even though his post is also a monetary contest, it’s also thought provoking. Check out his post when you get the chance.

Thanks for the link about longevity. It was an interesting read. Hope the younger ones take note.

So did you get the 20 bucks? đŸ™‚ But seriously, human beings take themselves way too seriously. Fact is, whenever I see a lion yawning on the tube, I kinda envy him his peace. All he has to worry about is catching his next meal. We gotta worry about taxes and mortgage payments. And mortality. Never saw a lion worried that he’s going to get old and die. đŸ™‚

Hi Ling, Yep, I got the $20. I love a contest/challenge that keeps its word. If I hadn’t gotten it I’d have deleted this post.

Yeah, I envy animals and children. My daughter just has fun (most of the time), and loves to tell me to “go buy some” of whatever it is she wants that I tell her we don’t have. I love that she doesn’t know the value of a dollar, or that things are tight for us. She’s just happy and she doesn’t get everything she wants. Good lessons.
