		<description>You know, it&#039;s surprising how often the little things humanize us to our customers, our audience and the people we work with. I used to be a reporter, and I saw one of our male reporters trotting out of the office with a small vase of flowers one day. I asked him whether he was in the doghouse with his wife or just being romantic.

Neither. Our editor had insisted he go interview someone who&#039;d been very sick, and he wanted to at least offer something pretty and sweet-smelling to his interviewee.

No wonder everyone talked their heads off for him!
