My first official advertiser!

I’m so excited to announce that Crayon Writer was approached by an advertiser for the first time! Now, I’m not talking a big company (yet), but someone asked to place a short paragraph on a couple of my popular posts.

The best part? I’m getting paid for it!

Just when I thought Crayon Writer might never make a dime (though that wasn’t why I started it).

If you’d like to see the placements, and even patronize the buyer, please check out these two posts. That will be a great way for me to show my appreciation.

Are you interested in purchasing space on certain posts, or even on my main page? Let me know, and we’ll see what kind of deal we can work out.

At this early stage, I’m very flexible. But I fully expect Crayon Writer to continue to grow in popularity, so now would be a great time.

For you other bloggers, have you been approached by advertisers? Did you take the deal, negotiate, or turn it down? And why?

Potential advertisers, what do you look for in a blog? What kinds of deals do you prefer?

Congratulations! Does this mean you’re writing blog posts for an advertiser, or just posting an ad on your blog? How does this happen?

Thanks for asking. In this case the advertiser just posted an ad on posts I’d already written (and that were kind of popular). I’m open to different kinds of ads, though, depending on the amount of money involved. If I write a post geared toward an ad (I did a sponsored post once or twice here) then I would put it in the sponsored post category.

I’m excited to know that my blog is getting known in the blogosphere! Gives me a renewed interest in it.

      Hello,

If you mean do I offer ads in the text of a post, then yes. Just contact me and let me know exactly what you’re looking for, and we can go from there.

Thanks for asking! Sorry I’m still such a newbie that I’m not 100% sure what you mean, but I’d be happy to see what works for us both.

By the way, I love your blog’s theme.

Congratulations! That’s tremendous news. I know how hard it can be to monetize a blog.

(I’m just waiting for the day!)

That’s awesome, congratulations! It’s exciting when you see that your hobby can actually make you some extra money.

  4. Congratulations!
First one is the hardest one.
For new bloggers, I would suggest to have your first ad as a free ad just to pick up some interest.
    Good luck.
