Well, not as well as I’d have liked. If I had it to do all over again, I would probably have gotten a permanent part-time job. Worrying about money is rough. And if I knew then what I know now, I’d have really worked on getting clients while my baby was still a baby. Now that she’s almost 3, it’s impossible to do any kind of meaningful work with her at home.

I’m actually getting started on a part-time job now, and looking for a full-time one. I should have had savings beforehand.

I don’t regret being home with my daughter for most of her 3 years. I know how much I fretted about money, but she just knows that Mommy’s there.
